ideal for hot tea or coffee. i love this size As for me, I don't want or need a 50 ounce coffee in me, but I do like morning coffee out of my Keurig. I drink hot tea during the day. I had both in this mug and it held up great. I love this color and I love the feel of the mug in my hand. It is not slippery and difficult to hold. Hot tea or coffee or a cup full of ice cubes, like the ones I sometimes drink in the afternoon, is enough. The cup rim is also good. I've had several paper cups that drip when I take a sip. The rims of some mugs aren't strong, but this one is. We had a pool party 2 weeks ago and they came in handy and actually saved a lot of time and spread germs. I told everyone it's the rule not to share mugs and I put out some markers and told them to write their names or initials on their mugs and if they forgot get one new cup, but don't drink cups from each other. There was no breakthrough on the cups where you grab liquid with your fingers. They are as strong as cardboard. I'm a big fan of paper products and when I find good paper products that work, I stick with the brand.
