Got this tracker a week ago and tested it with your pup. Setting up the process was quite simple: just charge the tracker (surprisingly fast) and connect it to the application (a few minutes). It's been a week and the tracker is still charging :) I put it on the collar and I'm surprised it's still there as the puppy goes to daycare and is *very* actively playing. I'm glad the dog didn't run away so I didn't have to use the tracker to find him, but I still check the location occasionally and it's pretty accurate. I would recommend the tracker for active hunting dogs (you never know!) and anyone booking boarding and walking services.
