Doesn't fit, motor shaft too long

I tried to install and every time I tightened the screws the motor stopped working. I have found that the shaft is too long and when fully tightened the motor stalls and stops working. It can be adjusted by grinding the shaft a bit. Not very happy and didn't respond to the message I left on the company website.
