Review on Flash Furniture Mid Back Control HL 0001 GG by Barbara Simmons

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good for the price but too big for a 5ft 2in person

I like it overall - looks good (exactly like the picture). It's not at all like the $900 Steelcase chairs I have in my office, but at $100 that's to be expected. The foam seat is durable and supportive. The tilt feature is handy, and the adjustable tilt stiffness is a nice touch. My main complaint is that I'm 5'2" (just slightly shorter than the average woman) and when this chair is in its lowest position it's still about 1-2" higher than my feet to lay flat to sit on the floor. What does a girl have to do to find a small office chair that is neither junk nor made for children? It's a little ridiculous. Also, the armrests are a bit higher than I'd like (they don't go under the keyboard tray so I can't push the chair, and they're high enough that I have to stretch my elbows forward). a little to put your hand on it). Finally, I love the feature on my fancy, expensive chair that allows you to extend and retract the armrests (because I'm short, I don't spread my arms as wide as, say, a 6-foot man). Obviously, given the price, this chair doesn't have that attitude. A final note on installation - my chair came with all the necessary hardware and was easy to set up. Yes, when unpacked it looks like a lot of individual parts. Stop, take a breath and stop whining about the installation. It's not that hard, and the illustrated instructions are easy (yes, if you didn't get all the screws or the wheel is missing, whine - keep going). But seriously folks, my friend's 10-year-old boy could understand that. It's easy - just slow down and use your brain. It's a $100 office chair, for a loud scream, what did you expect?
