Not for candles or melted wax

If you are working with oil, edible candles or melted wax this is not a suitable surface to place an item on its own as it is just a thicker, smoother piece of construction paper. Whatever it is, it works very well against a wall and when the item came up it wasn't rolled or anything. Came in a flat box
