When it became clear that I would be working from home for the foreseeable future due to COVID, I realized I couldn't keep using one of my dining chairs and needed a better one. However, most office chairs cost a lot more than I was willing to pay. This chair has received decent reviews and it comes in purple! Assembly was difficult at times. The mesh of the chair has been well preserved over the past few months. However, if you have cats I would recommend covering the chair with something or putting it out of the animals reach when not in use so they don't tear the fabric with their claws. While not as supportive and adjustable as my "real" office chair, it is much more comfortable than a dining room chair!
