We had an earlier Arris surfboard that worked great. Recently our ISP (Cox) offered us a speed boost, but it required an upgrade to DOCIS 3.1 to work. Cox sent us a modem but I don't want to pay them a subscription fee so I bought an S33. Installation was easy, requiring only a phone call from Cox to register the modem. They then reset everything remotely and the system has been working great ever since. Cox then upgraded the speed to MegaBlast for free, which is even faster. However, we will have to review the update in a year when the Cox discount expires and the price goes up $20. The Surfboard S33 looks good and pairs well with the Amplifi Wi-Fi router. I don't find the blue light on the S33 intrusive, so I left it on. Good product at a good price.
