Definitely good for walking your dog in the rain. It's good to have salt on the sidewalk to melt the snow. But as soon as my dog stepped in the snow, 2 to 3 inches of snow, the boots fell off. The boots are rubber, but the combination of nylon/spandex legs and walking in the snow, the snow seems to cling to the boots and the paws come out. I tried many many times but the boots fell off as soon as she stepped in the snow. It's more for rain and rough terrain. And she has to wear a coat with it because her legs slip out because her fur is so soft. I would definitely buy a few more. To me they are worth my dog's paw slipping because walking the dog in the rain is no fun at all when you come home and your paws are covered in mud.
