In case of emergency.
Good. Not the greatest, but good. Since the solder requires more heat than (cheap) heat shrink tubing, there is a risk that the hole in the tubing will melt before all of the solder is heated. I would say it would only be better in an emergency. I will do this when I receive a new order from a different manufacturer.
