Review on Sony HDR-CX100 HD Camcorder, AVCHD Format, 10x Optical Zoom, Smile Shutter, Black (Discontinued by Manufacturer) by Redfish Rosenhoover

I bought this camera because of the price, but this camcorder has 'good' with 'bad'. Pros: - Outdoors with lots of light, the camera produces amazing HD videos! Even indoors, IF (and I mean big when) you have a lot of light (for example outside during the day) the camera will give you a great picture. The very small camcorder is ideal for taking with you. I liked its smallness. Very easy to use. Just open it and hit the record button. I like the ease of photography when capturing videos or photos. Charging holds up very well, although I didn't record a full sporting event or anything like that. Simple family things. Bad: - The camcorder records very grainy videos when there is not enough light inside. I am very disappointed in the poor quality. From decent lighting to almost no lighting, the video was very grainy. Too bad it has more memory (8GB). Overall a good camera but due to the poor quality of the indoor photos I didn't want to further review many of the events I wanted to shoot indoors. I sent it back to Revain for a full refund who refunded them in full with shipping! Revain are a pleasure to deal with, so I bought a Sony Handycam HDR-CX500V High Definition camcorder with 32GB flash memory from them. I am currently using it and low light videos are much better. Obviously this camera has a lot of bells and whistles with a higher price tag but was willing to pay extra to capture life's moments in all situations with a very good picture. So far this camcorder is excellent.
