Note that the gap in the eye of the needle (to facilitate threading) can sometimes catch on lightweight fabrics and cause "stringing". If the thread making up the fabric to be sewn is very thin, it may snag. I haven't had that many issues with "blanket" cotton, but it can also snag. Maybe it's the way I hold the needle, but it only happens when I use that kind of needle. I love the idea behind this product and will probably use needles but only for smaller projects. Suggestion to the designer/developer of this product: If the needle itself were thicker (at least as thick as the end of the needle), the hole it creates when piercing the fabric could be large enough to prevent snagging on the edge of the fabric to prevent needle. tear in the eye of the needle; Also, the needle should be rounded to avoid undue damage to the fabric fibers, or to make the entire needle, including the eyelet end, thinner, or to improve the "finish" of the eyelet gap so it doesn't snag. PLEASE fix this issue. Sewers require a needle with a light thread.
