Very simple, relatively easy to install. You just need a decent flat surface to stick it on and then attach the magnet to the phone. I've had this mounting system on 2 bikes, the first was a 2002 Yamaha r6, went to about 130 with a phone on the front of the gas tank and it wasn't moving, my current bike is a Honda Nighthawk 85, the phone is just under mounted on the gas cap, the bike has very stiff suspension and the phone has not fallen off yet. Yes, your phone moves from time to time, but it moves on the sphere. Also an added plus since you have a magnet on the phone, you can attach it to almost any metal surface, e.g. Fridge, car, locker, tool box. that's a big plus in my book
