Review on SureFlap Microchip Cat Door White by Danielle Thompson

We had a problem with raccoons coming into our garage through the old cat door, so we replaced them with this model. It was easy to install and program for our cat chip. It worked for a couple of weeks, and then the raccoon figured out how to defeat it. There is a tab that prevents the door from opening inwards unless an authorized chip is read from the outside, but it always allows the wing to open outwards to allow any animal to get out. This raccoon has figured out that he can grab the flap and pull out, then squeeze his fat body through! I filmed everything with my Nest camera - wish I could attach a clip! There is a dual scan version of this door, I may need to update it.
