Review on Lenovo ThinkPad Titanium Laptop Light by Corey Kim

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Incredibly light, but something is missing

I switched from a Surface Pro 6 to a Thinkpad X1. Pros: The big screen is a big plus. The display is quite sharp. Thin bezels look good, although there is a wide black stripe at the bottom. The physical camera-off slider is a welcome change. The sound quality is clear, maybe third party apps can improve the bass. Cons: The boot process is about 3540% slower than the Surface Pro 6 with its older generation processors and less RAM! I expected an immediate start. The screen shakes constantly when typing. Perhaps this is common to all laptops, unlike the Surface Pro which has a solid stand to support the screen. The power button on the side is a bit flimsy, making the laptop difficult to open. Lenovo could have added a small notch for fingertip pressure. There is no reversing camera. In times of online meetings and online checks, I really miss the rear camera. The main downside for me is that the warranty started on July 1st, 2021 while I ordered it on September 2nd and it was delivered on July 1st, 2021. September 15, 2021. I assume that the warranty starts from the day of delivery. So I already have 2 months not enough for a guarantee! Aesthetics: Overall it looks good. The tiny red dot above the Thinkpad's "i" on the back of the screen is a nice design feature. They could color in the letters Lenevo and Thinkpad on the back of the screen. they are barely visible.
