Review on 🔧 AISIN TKT-021 Engine Timing Belt Kit with Water Pump, gray by Matthew Davenport

Definitely the best timing belt/water pump kit you can buy for your Toyota/Lexus V8 engine. I have a 2006 4Runner with a 2UZ-FE engine and it's preparing for 200,000 miles. After 100,000 miles I took it to the dealer (don't shoot me I know) and they charged me a whopping $1,400 to replace the timing belt and water pump. For $170 and a day of my (or your) time, this kit will save you a lot of money. I'm one of those people who likes to use Toyota OEM parts but don't pay Toyota dealer prices. I checked some online stores that sold Toyota OEM parts and bought them separately. The best price I could get for everything included in this kit was around $400. That's a great - I mean fantastic - price for everything you need to perform this service. Both bearings are Koyo brand (like Toyota), water pump is Aisin (like Toyota), hydraulic tensioner. it is NTN (the same used by Toyota) and the timing belt is by Mitsuboshi. As you might have guessed, the same one is used by Toyota. Everything you see in the picture is included EXCEPT the square gasket that fits on top of the water pump. To be honest, I didn't even know that this gasket existed, because Toyota's management requires FIPG gaskets (Form In Place Gasket) for it. FIPG is essentially a gasket extruded from a tube. You can get it at Revain Genuine Toyota Fluid 00295-00103 Molded-in-Place Sump Gasket - 3 oz. Hose This kit even comes with a very nice booklet with instructions on how to change the timing belt. But I'm guessing if you're buying this set you're either giving it to a local mechanic or you're making it yourself and you've already spent a lot of time online researching how to do it. Or you are a burglar mechanic and can do it with your eyes closed, with one hand tied behind your back. I haven't used my kit yet but I know a lot of people seeing this are very curious as to what exactly is in the kit so I wanted to make sure I at least know everyone what was in mine.
