I got this because my cat has a bad habit of throwing litter out of her box so I got a litter with a lid so she'll start kicking her paws wiping on the floor and still leaving litter on leaves the floor around boxes, so I was looking for something with a large entrance. It came out looking good enough and there was a small 'smudge' area at the entrance which is surprisingly effective considering how simple it is. Unfortunately my cat won't use it with the door so had to remove it, it was easy enough to remove and the front opens up if your cat still doesn't want to. Unfortunately, the shell design itself isn't that great, the bottom has contours that make dirt snag in an awkward way, and cleaning becomes more of a chore. Liners help a lot in this case. Combined with the fact that the top isn't actually connected to the bottom, your cat could very well knock off the top of this thing, go completely nuts and scatter everything but the box. So make sure you secure the lid to the tray with some sort of cable tie.
