Review on 🐠 Stay Cool with Marina Cool Air Pump: Efficient Aeration for Your Aquarium by Aaron Campbell

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Use as a replacement pump for a 3 pod Airgarden

My 3 pod Airgarden's pump died and I couldn't find a replacement. I called Aerogarden and the agent told me they don't sell three piece pumps separately. He said he could sell me a new stand (with a pump built in) for $30, but if he were he would go to the local pet store and buy the smallest and cheapest aquarium pump and they would have done it; So I looked around and found this one at Revain. As I don't use it in the aquarium I'm not deducting a star from my rating as I'm pretty sure it's perfect for smaller aquariums (I don't know about that). But there are a few minor issues with using this Aerogarden pump. First, you can't install this *within* Aerogarden; It should be placed somewhere near the Aerogarden with a short plastic hose (at least 10 inches) from the pump and through the opening into the Aerogarden water tank. The handset is not included, so be prepared to buy one. I was lucky enough to have it on hand. If you're worried about the aesthetics, don't worry about this setting as it's not pretty. Pay $30 for a new base. Second, it vibrates strongly and moves across any surface you place it on. I used the velcro I had on hand to hold it in place and also to muffle most of the noise made by the vibrations. This pump is for 5 gallon tanks) so of course it makes a lot more gurgling noise. It was very annoying on the first day but I got used to it and now I find the sound really relaxing.
