update April 2021: yesterday cleaned the tank and today after refilling i noticed that the transparent part of the tank has cracks and when i wanted to put it back on the base it was leaking, where the clear part connects to the black bottom of the tank. I called customer service and they took my info and emailed them for help (so just email them from the start). They asked for some photos of the problem, a screenshot of my purchase invoice and my shipping address. After I submitted this they replied that they would send me a new block! It took about 4 hours from start to finish to get approval. Initial Review: My first humidifier was a penguin-shaped ultrasonic model designed for kids, no frills. He eventually died after 10 years and this was the replacement. This one is sleek, modern and its style suits our grown-up home much better. It's also much quieter! Advantages: • Stylish – disappears optically in the room. • Rapid increase/maintenance in % relative humidity in our 1100 m² room. ft. • Big tank! • Very Quiet – The warm fog function is louder but still good. • Target Relative Humidity The % option is great. • The display can be switched off during operation. • Saves the last setting when switching off and on again. • Six different fog levels (1-3 cold + 1-3 warm). Cons: • The detachable nozzle portion is a bit of a hassle to remove - if you don't have nails you may have trouble. • The mist outlet doesn't have much attraction so it doesn't reach far on its own - we have a fan under the ceiling to disperse the steam. Eh 🤷🏻‍♀️: • Remote control - we don't need it. • The power cord could be a little longer. • Bi-directional mounts don't enhance performance, only enhance beauty/fun. • The automatic function does not work. good - sometimes it won't turn on if the % value falls below the specified threshold. • A box of essential oils - I tried it once, it wasn't impressive. Notes: We use the warm mist function as a booster when we want to quickly increase humidity. This really helps in Santa Anna conditions when the outside air relative humidity is <10%. Cool mist output = 250ml/hr max cooling + heating = 500ml/hr max We have VERY VERY hard water. When we use tap water in a humidifier, the minerals suspended in the air make the air noticeably cloudy, so we use our reverse osmosis system to fill the tank.
