Opening the clasp was not intuitive and there were no instructions on the display or with the straps. Needing to find out, I "lost" the seller 1 star, hence the 4 star rating. I used to have adjustable straps and they all came out when I lifted the tab on the buckle, here's what I've tried. Come to find out, all you have to do is press on the side of the buckle that has a couple of tabs at the top. This is a swinging plate that easily detaches when pushed in the right place. Unlocking the latch required very little effort, so those with limited hand strength or arthritis should enjoy this strap. Please note that the strap is not infinitely adjustable. I think if your waist is over 36 inches, the belt will essentially be a skinny belt, but a small waist will look pretty stylish with this cool belt. It looks like it will have a reasonable life span if the plastic buckle doesn't snap.
