Works great, easy to set up and very comfortable.

Works great, easy to set up and very nice to have the extra storage (thanks Sony!) Can't tell yet if it loads games faster but haven't had any issues so far. The installation instructions are simple, if you follow them you will have no problems. However, what I didn't like was having to reinstall all my games, which would take hours and hours, especially if you have a lot of downloaded content. After trial and error and a few tips from those who came before me, here's what I did. Make a backup of your PS4. If you go to Settings > System > Backup & Restore, you can backup your entire PS4 hard drive. Of course, this requires another external hard drive. But the hard drive must be formatted correctly or the PS4 will not recognize it. a. Formatting an external hard drive. If your hard drive is empty, no problem. Plug it into your computer (sorry Mac users, I'm Windows, that's all I know). Open My Computer, right click on your hard drive, go to the File system drop down list and select exFAT. This will erase any files you have on it. So when software is installed, you have to decide if you want it. If not, go ahead. If yes, continue to the next step. b. Use your new Fantom hard drive. Insert a new drive into the provided enclosure, plug it in and follow the formatting instructions above. If it doesn't appear, you need to go to Disk Management first. 1) Click the "Start" button, type "Disk Management" in the search box, and "Disk Management" will open. Below is a list of available drives along with a graphical representation. Right click on the diagram that represents your external hard drive and format it. Close everything and make sure your hard drive shows up in My Computer. If so, then you've made it. in. Back up your PS4. Connect your formatted hard drive to PS4 and follow the instructions to backup PS4.2. Two quick tips to save you heartache in the future. Back up your saved files to a flash drive, just in case. It never hurts to have multiple backups. b. Deactivate your PS4. Go to Settings > PlayStation Network/Account Management > Activate PS4. Disable PS4 so that there is no problem installing a new hard drive.3. If you used a Fantom hard drive to back up your PS4, you need to save the backup file (it's in the folder labeled "PS4"). If you have space on your computer, copy it there. If not, you'll need to use a different hard drive. Luckily I had another hard drive (WD Passport) and copied it over there.4. Install Fantom drive and restore PS4. Install a new drive according to the instructions and then use any external hard drive with a recovery file to restore your PS4. I used a Fantom drive for backup because I didn't want to reformat my passport. After setting up the Fantom drive in PS4, I took the old PS4 drive, followed the steps above to reformat it to exFAT, and then copied the recovery file from my passport to the old PS4 disc. Even though it seems like a complicated way, it saved me from downloading a lot of data and reinstalling my games. The restore worked like clockwork and I now have a 2TB hard drive in my PS4.
