I bought these shoes to use as deck shoes for sailing. They felt light, had good drainage when wet and offered reasonable traction. I tried them on at home and then wore them on the boat. I was disappointed that one of the black tabs came loose when tightening the adjustable elastic cords! I tied a stop knot on that elastic cord and carefully tightened the cords on the other boot. They were then turned on for about 48 hours. race. I never took them off. They offered good traction, drained well, dried quickly and performed like much more expensive sailing shoes. Conclusion: Aside from the initial disappointment of the detached tongue, these cheap shoes exceeded my expectations.
