Not sharp enough

I bought these for the grip as it is soft silicone. Was excited to use them on my knitting machine project but quickly became disillusioned. It didn't occur to me to check the tip of the metal tip. They were rounded and couldn't accommodate a loop in my yarn. They were tricky to work with so I went back to my old plastic pen but with a sharper crochet hook.
