I bought one for my personal car and then another for my work car when I realized how cool it was. Plastic, not the ugliest I've seen, but it's better than some of the ultra cheap ones I've seen. The rubber sliders keep it in place fairly well, but the longer neck makes the device wobble a little, but not enough to worry me about dropping it. The magnet is strong enough for most devices, I put a metal plate in a plastic case and it still holds. I've also put the records on my large 10 inch tablet and it's holding up pretty well, although I'm not sure I'd trust it much more.
