Purchased at the end of 2015 and a great investment. It paid for itself in just over 18 months. The best part is we don't have to worry about bringing it back to the store like we did when we rented it. Now that we have our own it's been used a lot. If you have pets this is a must. It has a strong suction power and doesn't let the carpet get wet. It's heavy and helps get stuck in water and mud. It's a heavy machine and that's what makes it stand out. The long cable is great. The handle folds for storage. We used to have one with rotating round brushes, which wasn't that clean. It could not get stuck in the water after brushing. I didn't understand why they didn't understand that when they were made. He stood for a long time until I gave him away. This one does. This is a very good cleaner. I grab it when one of the dogs on my floor is messing up or getting sick, it lasts a few minutes and then it starts cleaning again. I especially recommend this with pets, as even the most trained dogs make mistakes or get sick. It will pay off. Over the years I have found cheap vacuums and carpet cleaners to be a waste of time and money.
