Great features in a small package

I bought this printer with some reluctance due to a lack of information, but was pleasantly surprised to find familiar features (full compatibility) like my R260 photo printer. The compact size is convenient and the front loading/print trays are a bit more convenient for my small office needs, but there were some difficult and confusing moments when I first tried to work out the sequence of operations. The drawings were good but the text instructions were a bit sparse. The print test preset was simple and luckily the print tests looked good. One of my main interests with this printer is printing to CD/DVD as I have been printing to discs with the Epson R260 for many years and was concerned this might change over time but was relieved to find Epson using the same application (Epson Print CD) for XP-6000, and the file formats are compatible in the mid-2000s (.ec3, .ec4, etc.). This allows me to print all the old labels I made 10 years ago. Print quality on paper is superb and printing on photo paper is impressive, as always with Epson printers. I have yet to use the scanner and have used all the wiring to connect to my PC but am hoping to test the WiFi connection as well. As a side note, having used an Epson R260 Photo printer for over 10 years with cartridge costs increasing, I am pleased to see that the XP-6000 cartridges are much cheaper, almost 35%. It might not be a true printer workhorse, but for the price and features, it's a lot of printer for the money.
