Review on Stay Comfortable With NuVein Sheer Compression Stockings For Women - 8-15 MmHg Support, Lightweight Denier, Knee High, And Closed Toe by Savanna Wilson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Best for a thin leg. They run long.

I got these NuVein Sheer compression stocking for my mom who just had knee replacement surgery. As you can see they bunched up on her foot and they were not upside down. It was hard to pull the stocking up over her ankle, but you can see her ankles are swollen. In the hospital she wore a size medium and they were pretty tight. I know compression socks should be tight. I followed the size chart and my moms foot is an 8. Large is for an 8-10.5 shoe size. For my mother, who is short, these came up too high for her, and she said because of that they were uncomfortable. Again, her ankles are swollen and she is short so these just are not working out for her. We might try again in a few months when the swelling subsides. The top of the stocking was not too tight and the band seemed like it might not roll like the hospital stockings did. When the top band rolls it becomes like a tourniquet, which can cut off circulation and is not good. I really think you need to have a thin long legs to wear these comfortably. My moms knees are wide and her legs are short! The color was pretty and they were soft, not stiff like some compression stocking can be.
