I got these mostly for when I'm traveling by plane. I have varicose veins and these will help. I wear a size 9 shoe and the large fits me perfectly. They fit snugly but are very comfortable. The top is not too tight but stays up. Also like that the toes are reinforced so it doesn't run. These are obviously thicker than your average nylons, but I got the sheer and they are still semi-transparent, so they look like nylon stockings.

I either couldn't find the actual compression amount, or I got the wrong size. They felt like good support stockings, but not enough to call them compression stockings.

To give you some comparison, I weigh 260 and am 5'6" tall. I wear a size 8-1/2 to 9-1/2 shoe. My calves are not huge, but I do have problems with wearing tall boots. These knee highs are snug and offer great support without binding at the knee or sliding down. Frequently, knee highs aren’t long enough to reach my knees since I’m 5’8” tall, but these are long enough without having to tug and yank at them.
