The green is very light, holds a charge well, about half the collar is lit
About 8 1/2 inches of the small collar is well lit, about as much as that design could achieve. 3" for the adjustment, 2" for the battery and 3" for the latch. I use 1/2 to an hour at night. Provides excellent visibility to see the dog. At first I found the brightness distracting, but a 44 lb dog wasn't. Holds a charge well. Only charges once (after first charge) in about a month and a half of use. My dog starts and stops so uses it as a leash even with his regular martingale collar. Me made a quick jab to lock the adjustment while the material slipped through the buckle.
