I gave it 5 stars because of the optics, ease of focusing and overall quality of the Gosky monocular. As you can see from my photos, you can take some decent wildlife photos with this device. I did all my examples with the monocular mounted on a tripod for easier focusing and to be ready when the birds enter the photo area. I have a G6 LG Android with standard and wide angle lenses. I've found that using a wide-angle lens with a monocular reduces a lot of the telephoto quality of the photos, so I just use a regular lens. The device is easy to focus, a lot depends on the quality of the camera lens. If you want the image to fill the entire screen, you must draw the image on the phone screen with your fingers. Otherwise, you'll end up with a round-edged image, as shown in my two examples. Also, you have to make sure that the phone is in a perfect vertical or horizontal position, otherwise you will get the photo at an angle as shown in the deer photos.
