I bought it to use as a second screen to stream Twitch, YouTube, Netflix or whatever while using my laptop for gaming or work. It does exactly what I want. I even put a game on it and it worked fine. Please note this is a 60Hz screen. I only used the mini HDMI port, but it supports using USB-C for video. With HDMI, I have to use a USB-C cable to power it. The speakers are a bit nondescript, but they do the job. There is a headphone jack that you can use if needed. I see no reason why you couldn't use this with a DVD player or games console. Build quality seems good and it comes with a magnetic cover that doubles as a stand. It comes with all the necessary cables.
