With the keyboard directly in front of you, to the right of it, there is enough space for the most comfortable position of the mouse. No more typing "to the left" or swinging your hand to the right to use the mouse. The arrangement of the arrow keys is a little odd, but they are not used very often, so this is not a problem. What I didn't like when I bought it was that there is no sleep button - but there is a FN + F11 keyboard shortcut, which is almost as convenient, but with less risk of accidental pressing.
