I bought one for myself and one for my brother for Christmas. We both agree that they are very soft and comfortable. The zipper is also good because it stays on the pillow better. They don't shine very much after the first wash, so they're not fashionable, but they're comfortable to sleep in. I just wash them on a delicate cycle and hang them to dry. It usually dries up within a few hours. Mine was about 6 months old and still ok. If you're trying to decide between these and polyester satin, then this is for you. Unlike satin, which is made from polyester, silk does not generate static electricity. I don't know if it helped my hair but I guess we'll see.
