I wanted a small wallet that could hold my phone, car keys, ID and money. I have always decided what to pack in my large briefcase/bag for the day of meetings so I don't have to carry multiple bags. There aren't enough compartments, and then the items roll around everywhere. I can remove the strap from it and put it in my bag and have everything in one place. If I'm traveling and then need to take it to dinner or a night out, I can just put the strap back on and that's it. Really useful for business trips.
