This is a great accessory cable, but probably shouldn't be used for.

This is an excellent accessory line, but probably shouldn't be used for friction locking on the main rope. We use them for work positioning of the halyard slings and for attaching the clutch pulleys to our hoist line. Climbing might be different, but we use them when working in trees.
