Review on WOLFBOX Portable Electric Charging Adjustable by Jeremy Gulledge

WOLFBOX Level 2 EV Charger, EVSE Portable EV Home Charger

I felt disappointed by the lack of information on how to connect a Nema 5-15 plug to a 240 volt outlet. I don't know anything about these things. But I realized that there are concerns that using a 240 volt Nema 5-15 outlet poses a hazard if someone is plugging in a 120 volt appliance. After wrestling with this for a day, I found an adapter that I believe will allow me to install a Nema 6-20 socket: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/ B075FTC9RT. For this reason I am very satisfied with this charging station. I've been using it in a standard outlet, charging time varies, alternating assigned amps and planning to test the charge delay feature next time. An electrician will be installing a 240 volt outlet later this week and the adapters should be delivered next week. After testing this product with a new 240 volt outlet, I found that this cable charged significantly faster than the original OEM cable. Today the original cable with a 240V socket showed a charging time of 5 hours, while this cable shows 3.5 hours. I don't see any heat development on the charging line. Delay and adjustable current work well. I am happy.

Pros
  • EASY INSTALLATION: Simply install a NEMA 5-15 outlet and plug your charger into it, saving you hundreds of dollars in installation costs. A 25-foot charging cable will suffice for most driveways or garages. It is also easy to remove from the mount and put in the car. The indicator light on the charging station helps to display the different charging stages and warns of possible errors.
Cons
  • No Power
