Bought these lights to replace the headlights on my 1998 Peterbilt logging truck. I don't drive at night very much, but the sealed halogen headlights on my truck were so dim and misaligned that it made my little night drive a real chore and I tried to avoid night driving altogether. Headlights It was easy to swap out the plugs, just unplugging the old ones and plugging in the new ones. I also replaced the plastic chrome trim rings around the headlights to freshen up the front of the truck. The only thing I did slightly unusual was apply a coat of 3M Clearbra to the lenses to protect the lenses from the harsh conditions I drive my truck in. Like I said, I rarely drive at night. As such, I wasn't overly concerned if Clearbra would affect light performance. The aluminum body, lenses, wiring and connectors appear to be of good quality. The first time I drove at night I adjusted the headlights, I always thought the high beams were on. The amount of light they put out and the color of the light (white compared to the amber light of the halogens) was amazing! I couldn't believe my old truck headlights could work so well. These lights had a good line of cut and when properly aimed they didn't seem to get in the way of oncoming drivers. Driving off-road to the site early in the morning, I had my high beams on and couldn't believe the detail and amount of things I could see. And the guys I worked with could see my lights before they heard the sound of the truck! With these LED headlights on my truck, I no longer worry about working late or driving at night. 10/10 I would buy again!
