We bought the blue tray for our four year old son and after our son using it during a long car ride, his older sister said wanted one of her own. Both of our kids are into writing and drawing right now and this works really well for keeping crayons, markers and paper or coloring books organized. We haven’t used it with an iPad or tablet, so I can’t say how it works for that, but it works great as a hard surface for coloring or drawing. The tray attaches pretty quickly to the care seat and does require removing it to allow or child out. I highly recommend this for long car rides or vacation trips. Speaking from experience, when the kids are happily drawing they don’t ask are we there yet ten million times.
