HP 14 in. perfect for the occasion. It's very well made and the angled handles and straps hold up well. Factory material on HP is smooth and slippery. Even with the rubber feet underneath, I didn't feel comfortable sitting on anything other than a table, especially with children. Once installed in this case, I feel like I can take this computer anywhere and be assured that it's protected. The zippers are strong and appear to be water resistant. They are almost too strong and a bit difficult to close. A minor downside is that the angled buttons somewhat obscure the thin-edged HP screen. The material is slightly transparent and only blocks about 1/8 inch right in the corner. For most tasks you don't even notice it. If you are watching videos in full screen, it may bother you. Other cases have a huge strap that cuts the corner, so this is still your best bet for a secure fit. Non-micro bezel screens won't have any issues. The main disadvantage of this case is the smell. There is a grooved rubbery material on the surface that makes it non-slip and easy to handle, but it contains oil or something that makes the whole thing smell like freshly poured asphalt. I wiped it with alcohol but the smell hasn't gone away. It's not very noticeable from a few feet away, but if you bump into it, it's sharp. I hope this fades away As I can't find another case that suits my needs, this is unfortunate but not a deal breaker.
