I recently bought another emergency radio that I liked but was having trouble picking up NOAA stations. I had to add a long piece of wire to get reception. I live out of town and the radio reception is terrible at best so I figured my radio would do its best to pick up the station. But I saw some videos online praising the performance of this radio and decided to give it a try. I'm glad I did! I can pick up this NOAA station with no extra cable and even indoors where the pick up is even worse than terrible. The rest of the functions are very useful when you are away from home. This radio would be perfect for an emergency kit. Best of all, it charges both solar and crank and can even provide emergency charging for my phone when needed.
