So my gavel just arrived and I opened the package like a five year old on Christmas day only to feel like a teenager finding out his father can be one of the hundreds of men the mom in meets beam. Expressions of frustration aside, let's end this review. I'm really disappointed and add what my boys would say to bypass the line in the forbidden language. The most important thing is the face, the part that actually comes into contact with the skin and hence my disappointment. I can visually see wrinkles on my face and also feel them with my fingers. There is also a hole in the face. Considering I just put the skin in a seam pony with unlined jaws that were way smoother than this hammer's face and it scratched the skin, I'm already pretty sure what this hammer will do when I try to cut my seams If you turn the head and look at the sanding line around the bevel of the head, you can see a clear variation in angle and thickness compared to the opposite sides. I double checked that both the grip and the head are marked CS Osborne and to my disappointment they are. It appears to be either real or a highly visible fake. I'm not saying it's fake, I just want it to be everything. That was all I had time to look at the hammer. Because in my opinion it is completely unsuitable. Not without considerable work on my part to complete what the producers had to do. I'm new to leatherworking and cried once to deal with my tools once. I bought quality first, put up with it, and paid for tools that will last a lifetime. Verge Blanchard, Barry King, KS Osborne (now) instead of going cheap and waiting for my skills to surpass my tools. If that's Osborne quality for a once-respected American company, they could shut down and sell to China. This is the last CS Osborne tool I ever bought. My other purchase was a beveling machine, which I feel is boring and needs sharpening. However, I am waiting for my Blanchard model to arrive for comparison before reviewing this article. I had to save money and buy the Wuta brand because I knew I needed to polish my face and save some money. To decide whether to send this back, contact the seller or Revain, call the manufacturer and let them know what I think of its parentage, or just bite the bullet and polish it yourself if that Hole not too big is deep. Looking at it again I'm not sure if I can just polish it and I also noticed other little dimples on the face. So here it is. American trash. At least most AMT morels worked out of the box. 1911 guys will understand. The only reason it gets 2 stars is because it was made by an American company previously considered high quality and respected. I feel like someone's "darling" with this purchase). I review the things I buy and use, trying to show the good, the bad, the ugly, and the indifferent in hopes of helping others make better purchasing decisions.
