Review on ๐Ÿ”ฆ Black Maglite Heavy-Duty Incandescent 4-Cell D Flashlight by Mirzet Gosselin

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very good, simple LED flashlight.

Maglite D dual-element LED flashlight, black I have a few small LED lights, but I was looking for a long-life D-element flashlight for the home and garden, primarily for use during long power outages AMZ had these 2 D-Cell Maglights on sale so I bought one for the house and one for the car. It turned out to be a really good impulse buy. Even with only two D cells, this is not an EDC flashlight. It has a high and low brightness setting that you can access by toggling the light on and off to switch from one level to another. It also has the ability to fill/color by turning its head. It has variable dot and fill function that does not produce a smooth pattern like high quality LED lights. Eventually you will see a black spot which is the void or shadow of the LED itself. Turn your head and everything will pass. However, the beam is extremely comfortable to use, outperforming the old Everyready Captain and PR2 lamps with more "rings" than California Mahogany. Range both at a distance (464 m / 507 yards) and at close range. Head can get a little warm unlike small high power LED lights which heat up and dim after a few minutes. Because D-cells are used, the batteries last a long time and replacements are cheap and widely available. I only use Everyready Alkaline Energizers as I've had a lot of bad luck with leaking Duracell batteries. It can be helpful to set a reminder on your phone or computer to check the batteries if the light isn't used regularly. Leaking batteries will damage the flashlight. This is a very good general purpose LED flashlight that will last for years with minimal maintenance.
