Jammed constantly, broke all 3 needles during normal use

Like the title says. While using this item (properly, I read the instructions before using it, as I was new to sewing). While practicing with a piece of trash cloth I had, testing out the different settings, it jammed while using the number 9 setting (like a zig-zag) it jammed. The cloth wasn't thick, it was a single-layer rag, and I hadn't tried to open anything up on the machine, so everything was factory setting. It did this all on it's own. while trying to get it to unjam, the needle snapped, so looks like I need to replace it. I chalk that issue up to a bad needle, because the next one appeared to do just fine. After practicing for a bit more, I decide it's time to get started on my project. I grab the garments (a backpack and a thin layer of velcro fabric so I can attach a patch). I get started, and then jam. With a bit of help at the manual turn nob, it gets started again, for another few cycles then jam again. repeat this process for the next 5 minutes until half my spool of thread is wasted (I can see it all just knotted up under the fabric) and the patch barely holds on. Whatever, I guess it did what I wanted. At this point I knew I was returning it, there was no way it could handle what I wanted to do. The needle is bent again, keeps jamming even on number 1 setting, and this isn't even the last project I had.Decided today, before mailing it away, to try one last time. Change the needle, try on scratch fabric, and same thing, jammed while knotting up all the fabric underneath, needle bent beyond usability.Spend a bit of extra money and get a real sewing machine from a name brand, this one isn't worth the time or ruined projects you'll have to deal with.

Pros
  • Has a bright LED light for improved visibility while sewing
Cons
  • Protective case is flimsy and easily broken
