Review on 🐕 18 Gauge Electric In-Ground Dog Fence Wire Spools - Compatible with All Electric Dog Fence Brands and Models, Including Robotic Lawnmowers by Shaun Schatz

I recently purchased and installed this Extreme Dog Fence 18 Gauge 1000 Foot Continuous Spool. During installation I found 2 defective areas (one shown in attached picture) where the plastic cover/insulation had peeled away exposing the exposed copper wire. Tiny imperfections, yes, but the reasons I bought this particular wire were the consistent length, the thicker wire, and the supposedly improved and stronger coating/insulation since dog guard kits use 500-foot spools of 20-gauge wire to be supplied. My yard required about 800 feet of wire. I planned the installation so that there is a solid wire around the perimeter of our yard with no underground branches. That was the plan. After finding 2 separate breaks in the insulation I had to go to my local hardware store to buy waterproof splice covers to fix the broken sections of wire. As you can see in the picture, the holes in the insulation are small, about 1/8 inch, and were only discovered accidentally during installation, leading me to believe I'll be finishing troubleshooting this dog fence in the near future an unnoticed area of bare/bare copper wire in contact with earth. I contacted the seller and directly with the manufacturer. I will update with every resolution.
