Pros: β’ Thermal design: Heat dissipation is great as it's rated for at least 30W extra at 1650 Max-Q rating. The case also serves to dissipate heat, so the keyboard can get a bit warm under load (max. 50Β°C) β’ Software: MSI Center Pro is great, I like the monitoring features (= performance monitor, but better) and the performance features. The F7 keyboard key that toggles between saved power profiles is just awesome! There's also a really cool feature that lets you limit the maximum charging percentage that works even when the laptop is off, which is oddly impressive. Cons: β’ Speakers: They sound awful, like a cheap portable mini bluetooth speaker. To make matters worse, they're not even properly calibrated. The left side is louder than the right, so I had to turn it down to 84% in Windows settings. In my good old budget Aspire 5, for example, the speakers are a lot better, the bass sounds a lot better, and it's a lot louder too. USB-A port instead? I mean, that's why USB-C hubs with power transfer exist, right? I'm literally forced to use a USB-C hub every time I want to connect a USB flash drive since the only one available is USB-A 2.0. which I conveniently use for my wireless mouse dongle as they don't require bandwidth higher than 2.0! What a saving! β’ "Up to 12 hours battery life": even with activated Super Battery; 20% brightness; no keyboard lighting; If you have deactivated the microphone/webcam, you cannot surf the Internet (Chrome) for longer than 8 hours. It would be a great laptop if it weren't for a few serious flaws. Aside from what was mentioned above, the build quality; Keyboard; The trackpad and screen are great too, nothing special. Also, I would have preferred to have the fingerprint reader integrated into the power button like on some XPS laptops.
