My 10 year old LG dishwasher was making a lot of noise when we started it. Investigations revealed that the engine was not working well. I bought this replacement. Replacing parts is somewhat easy if you are handy. This is time consuming as you have to take the dishwasher out and disassemble it. You need access to the bottom of the device. This part was scratched when it arrived. I don't think it was a new part. However, it has now been almost two months and the dishwasher works perfectly and is very quiet.
