I think sometimes a person's opinion of a frame is based on the photo that is going to be placed in it. I bought a 3x3 ebony frame and a 3.5x5 ebony frame very similar to this 4x6 ebony twin frame. The field of view is reduced by about half an inch in each dimension, and the lens is moved away from the front edge of the frame. In my previous two cases, the frames contained black and white photos with plenty of space around the objects in the photos. This 4x6 double frame is a color photograph where the subject has been photographed to 'fill the frame'. Thus, the frame cannot take up much space. If there is space around the subjects in your photos, I recommend this 4x6 ebony frame. It's simple but durable. For my "filler frame" color photos, I use a 4x6 black metal double border with thin edges. I will find another use for this 4x6 ebony double frame.
