My orek did not progress easily. I looked at the new vacuum cleaners and didn't like any of them. I love my Oreck but since Oreck no longer has a store in Manhattan I was left without corporate support and free annual fittings which was the main reason I purchased this item from Oreck. Fast forward to find this guy on youtube casually explaining how to make your oreck like new again: [.] I figured let me try, for $12, if that doesn't work I'll buy a new one Vacuum cleaner . It was easy! I replaced the pulley and belts (don't forget to turn off the vacuum before removing the backing). The vacuum cleaner works much better now. Definitely worth the twelve dollars I spent. Also, now I have all these extra straps. Very happy with my purchase. Oooh, pay attention to the comments, this works with most Oreck vacuums but not the Platinum series.
