This is a compact and economical foil cutter. For the most part, that's fine - I would definitely prefer this to attacking the foil with a knife! But it's so light and small that it's actually a bit difficult to grab hold of to put enough pressure on the bottle. When you press it, the two sides tend to move. And it's almost impossible to use it for bottles with large necks. I prefer the round Houdini foil knife that comes with the Houdini lever corkscrew. It's a little heavier and easier to squeeze. It seems that Metrokane is selling the same design under the Rabbit brand and for about the same price as this model.
