This little instrument is great! Much better than the old hinges you might pinch. I can recommend this foil cutter without reservation!

We drink a lot of wine and I only ever ran a knife over it to remove the foil. This little foil cutter is much safer and cleaner than a knife. For the low price I am satisfied with the performance. Also, I won't blunt my knives.

There are attachments for 4 foil cutters but for a very strange reason the manufacturer has chosen to use only 2 cutting discs and leave the other 2 slots empty. It doesn't make any sense to me. It works but would be much better with regular 4 cutting discs. 2 stars and not recommended.

Anyone who drinks foil wrapped wines knows how it's done and it's no fun. With this foil cutter, this exercise becomes easier. Just place the cutter on the line you want to cut and rotate it around the bottle. The film is cut evenly and simply pulled off the bottle. Such a simple tool and it works!

I may have lacked grip, but I had to loop it around the neck of the wine bottle about 6 times before actually cutting the foil. Bottles that only have corks. I needed one to cut the foil on a screw top wine bottle. I did the last one with scissors and dulled the blade. I want one that fits screw top bottles.

I have a Rabbit wine opener and the foil cutter broke after years of use. Since the wine opener still works perfectly, I replaced the foil cutter. While it doesn't fit in the same spot on my rabbit, it's easy enough to keep this foil cutter in a desk drawer. You can open the foil with a knife, but you could cut yourself. Much easier and safer with a foil cutter. This one works well so I'm guessing we'll have it for years.

This is a compact and economical foil cutter. For the most part, that's fine - I would definitely prefer this to attacking the foil with a knife! But it's so light and small that it's actually a bit difficult to grab hold of to put enough pressure on the bottle. When you press it, the two sides tend to move. I think this foil cutter has a design problem. The manufacturer has chosen to launch it with just two cutting discs instead of the four that everyone else uses. Instead of the two "missing" wheels, there are two raised plastic pads that are supposedly placed to center the cutter on the bottleneck. Unfortunately, those two plastic pads aren't big enough to get the job done. If the top of the bottleneck is even slightly rounded, as is the case with most bottles, this will cause the foil cutter to
