I am new to jewelry making and have experimented with many different products. I bought silk threads, nylon threads, various kinds of transparent materials, wire, beads, glue, etc. I have invested about $1,000 in products this year alone. I may not be a jewelry wizard yet, but I'll find out what works and what doesn't. Now I love FireLine for making Chan Luu style bracelets! The thread is almost the same diameter as a human hair and due to its size it goes well with darker leather cords. I didn't think there was a way to be strong enough, but no matter how hard I pulled with my hands, it didn't break. Adding this to my list of staples. but it will be soon. I'm sure they must be small. I don't see how you can go wrong with that if the diameter is wrong. However, FireLine seems to offer a variety of sizes. Adding this to my list of staples.
